Davis, Yolo County
The University of California opened a teaching farm at Davisville in 1908, on land near the ranch of Jerome Davis, for whom the town is named. The farm became a full campus in 1959 and is now known for veterinary medicine, agriculture and wine science. Its arboretum follows the old channel of Putah Creek for more than a mile through the campus.
